As the college basketball season moves into the clubhouse turn, Michigan State has both basketball teams in good shape for the stretch-run into March Madness. The men and the women are each in position for a title-chase with only a handful of games remaining.

The men's team is in First Place and controls its own destiny with a 10-2 record heading into a home game tomorrow against Nebraska. Six games remain, including one against UM next weekend.

The women's team defeated Ohio State today, 70-49, for their first home-win over the Buckeyes in four years. MSU is now in Second Place, a game behind Penn State, with four games to play. MSU's four remaining opponents are ranked #6, #8, #9, and #11 in the conference standings. Meanwhile, the Nittany Lionesses play #3 Nebraska next weekend, so the Spartans have a chance to move back into First Place if they keep on winning.

The two Spartan Basketball teams together form the best Men's/Women's combination in the B1G conference at this point at 1st/2nd with Iowa the closest contender at 4th/4th.
