Mississippi State, Mississippi, and Georgia are the "Cinderella stories" thus far this season. All three came out of nowhere and onto the big stage. So the question about them is, can they keep it up? Do they know how to win while dealing with the media spotlight?
All MSU has to do is what Coach Dantonio said. Just win. Over the next few weeks, 4-6 of the 7 teams ahead of MSU in the polls will take a loss.
The Spartans control their own destiny in this.
JUST WIN!

Hey. Wait! I don't see teams like Albion, Pioneer High School, Chicago Physicians School, Toronto Lacrosse Club, Michigan Normal School or University of Michigan on any of those lists. There must be a mistake.
ReplyDeleteThis is tremendous summary of the situation, especially regarding other teams, and the inevitability of them losing more games in the weeks to come. This article effectively makes a mockery of EVERYBODY who was claiming after the Oregon game that MSU is "out of it" with "no chance" to make the "playoff".
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of the legwork to list all of the games yet to be played by other teams besides MSU.
