The Michigan State Women's Basketball team beat Michigan for the 23rd time in the last 25 games on Friday night. The Spartans now lead the all-time series between the two schools, 64-16. Translated statistically, that means MSU has won 80% of all games against UM.
Suzy Merchant is now 15-2 against Michigan since taking over as MSU Head Coach seven years ago. She has led the Spartans to two regular season trophies in the past four seasons.
Michigan State has won 9 of the last 10 against UM, outscoring them by 78 points.
The Spartans have met the Wolverines four times in the conference tournament, winning all four games.
