So really, what do you think about these uniforms the Spartans will be wearing for the chUMps game at home on October 15th? Go Green!... ...Go... Bronze? Please add comments below (or in the chat box to the right).
This is the place where the fantasy legends of "Myth-Again" are systematically debunked. This is where "chUMps" are dUMped! We provide a unique perspective on Spartan sports, and we also bring you anti-chUMps humor and highlight actual facts about UM that expose "The Michigan Difference" as "The MythAgain Difference". Are we really ready for this?

I like this look for one game. I was a little nervous after watching Georgia get grilled for their all red uni's on opening day down here in SEC land. Thank goodness we aren't wearing them in South Bend this weekend. It could have been confusing. As long as we win by double digits or more for our fourth victory in a row over the chUMps I'd be happy with anything we wear. They remind me of the movie "300" with the gold helmet. If the reviews are positive I wouldn't mind seeing them at all home games. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteThanks C-Mann 79. I am not upset by it. I am not geeked about it. I am very curious about how it looks on game day. I do think it's cool that they are trying to position themselves as cutting edge and not stuffy or pompus. The broze comes from the armor Spartans used back in the day and from the uniforms used in the leather helmet days. I'm fine with it. For some reason it seems kind of exciting although I've never been big on uniform issues before. I'm open. We will see. Can I walk you though how to be a guest author this weekend?
ReplyDeleteI agree with you guys. Somewhere between "not upset, not geeked" and "like this for one game". I've also never been big on uniform issues before. The lack of white here is obvious, but whatever.
