Big matchup for Michigan tonight as the Wolverines take on the Golden Hurricanes of Tulsa. There will be plenty of glamour on the court, as John Beilein won a National Invitational Tournament (NIT) championship with West Virginia in 2007, and Tulsa won the NIT in 1981 and 2001. But that's not all. The Golden Hurricanes also won the inaugural College Basketball Invitational (CBI) tournament in 2008.
So this is truly a clash of the champions.
Beilein with his NIT trophy, Tulsa with its CBI trophy.
Before the arrival of Beilein to Ann Arbor, the Wolverines also won the NIT in 2004. (Michigan cheated to win the 1997 NIT, but that "championship" was vacated by the Ed Martin scandal.)
With all of the NIT experience on both sides, the teams should be very comfortable playing on a Wednesday night in March in a game that barely anybody cares about.

Tweet ****** The purpose of this web site is to expose the mainstream media bias that consistently portrays Michigan in a favorable light under any and all circumstances. We present current facts and review historical records to show that UM is not all they are cracked up to be. This process involves information that is negative by nature, offered as a counter-balance to the biased picture we all see on a regular basis in the mainstream media. These negative facts may involve Wolverine teams, players, coaches, administrators, and/or fans. We are here to prove that Michigan is NOT AS DIFFERENT as they want us all to believe.
